It’s been a fantastic start to the year at Parker-Varney Elementary, where students and staff are already making big strides in learning, attendance, and social-emotional growth!
Our students are diving into their i-Ready MyPath lessons with enthusiasm now that beginning-of-year diagnostics are complete, setting goals, tracking progress, and celebrating their growth along the way.
We also held our Student Attendance Assembly, where we recognized two amazing classrooms for outstanding attendance in September, one Kindergarten class and one First Grade class, both topping an incredible 97% attendance rate! Their reward? A well-deserved pizza party to celebrate their commitment to showing up and shining every day!
And through daily Second Step lessons during morning meetings, our students are strengthening their social-emotional skills, learning to be kind, responsible, and respectful friends. This consistent schoolwide focus is creating a caring and connected community where every student can thrive.
With so much positivity and progress already happening, Parker-Varney is proving once again that great things grow where students feel seen, supported, and inspired!
