142 Immunization

Any student who has not been immunized according to RSA 141-C, as determined by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, shall not be permitted to attend any school in the District. Students and parents shall be expected to observe the rules and regulations pertaining to health established by the City Health Officer and the State Board of Education.

Parents of students transferring into the District must present proof within thirty days of entrance of meeting all immunization requirements. A child shall be exempted from these immunization requirements if s/he presents written documentation from his/her physician that immunization will be detrimental to his/her health. A child shall be excused from immunization for religious reasons upon signing of a notarized form by the parent/guardian stating that the child has not been immunized because of religious beliefs.

Failure to comply with this policy shall result in the child being excluded from school.

Immunizations may be obtained at no cost at the Manchester Health Department during its immunization clinics.
